Don't Let Our Land Go!

The Order of Jesus and Mary have sold 5 acres of land (not just some, but all remaining green space) around Our Lady's Grove primary and secondary schools for €13 million.

We have set up a concerned parents group and begun to mobilise both parents and local residents around this issue.

It is time that we demand our Minister for Education put a stop to the sale of land around our schools. We owe it not only to our children, but to the generations of children to come, to protect this vital part of our schools’ infrastructure.

Multiple motions were presented and unanimously passed by DLR Councillors at the 12th June DLR County Council meeting in support of stopping the sale of school lands at Our Lady's Grove and Clonkeen College.

Please continue to engage with all DLR Councillors, T.D.'s and the Minister for Education on this urgent issue for our school and indeed all schools in DLR and beyond. A report will be presented at the 3rd July DLR Council meeting and we need to keep the pressure on them to do the right thing and save our school lands.
